The Cradle of Aviation Museum is happy to announce its annual Women in STEM Event to be held this March in honor of Women’s History Month! Women in STEM is an opportunity for girls in both middle school and high school to hear from female leaders in STEM career fields.
This year, the Museum will host this free, virtual program on:

Speakers this year are Paige Miller, Katrina Carter-Journet, and Meredith Garafo. Here’s a little more on our presenters:
Paige Miller – grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She has a BS in Aeronautics with an Unmanned Aerial Systems Cognate focus, as well an MBA in Strategic Management, both from Liberty University. Upon graduation, Paige joined UPS Flight Forward (UPSFF); a subsidiary of UPS (United Parcel Service) focused on drone delivery. Currently, she works as a project lead for large UAS strategy and acquisitions and works towards supplementation of UPS’s SFAC (Small Feeder Aircraft) network with fixed-wing and (e)VTOL (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) platforms.
Katrina Carter-Journet – originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Katrina has a BS in Physics from Southern University and A&M College. She has an MS in Biophysics from Cornell University. Katrina began her professional career studying gravitational-wave astrophysics at the LIGO Livingston-Observatory. She eventually transitioned her interest to human space exploration by supporting various projects and programs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Currently, Katrina works at Virgin Galactic as an Engineering Specialist.
Meredith Garafo – was born in Cleveland Ohio. She has a BS in Science of Meteorology from Valparaiso University. Meredith began her career as a weekend meteorologist, anchor, and reporter for KOTA-TV in South Dakota. Currently, Meredith is a Senior Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) and Space Technology and STEM Education reporter for News 12 New York covering the Hudson Valley, Long Island, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. Meredith is also an accomplished singer, and volunteer for organizations including Girl Scouts of America, The American Red Cross, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
